I can get better in my 30s!

I know it's the end of summer and usually people try and get themselves in better shape before summer begins, but as our hot days hopefully start to dwindle, I will be getting myself fit. Well I won't be doing that by myself, I've hired a trainer. And it's only partly because I feel a little chunky right now. It's mostly because it's my birthday next month and I'm going to be 36. It's also because I found a few more grey hairs yesterday and I can't take it any more! It's not like I'm trying to look super young or anything, but I just want a little control back. And Jason says you can't get better at anything after you're 36, so I've got to prove him wrong. Things have just been a bit weird recently. Last week my boyfriend fell over and broke his hand. While I was with him in the ER, I got a parking ticket. Then I witnessed the helicopter debacle. Then we had an argument. Yesterday, absolutely everything seemed to go wrong. What the hell is happening? Then I had an epiphany. It's not hell, the heavens! It's Mercury in Retrograde! That's what. What? It's Mercu....oh here, I'll explain. I was with some friends on Saturday who were discussing the validity of this astrological phenomena. Ever heard of it? Apparently a few times a year, Mercury slows down so much that it looks like it's actually going backwards. According to astrologers, this has some interesting effects on us people. Last night, a dream of mine was realised. I finally went to Home Slice Pizza and played Qrank live! Andy Langer and I have been discussing this event for ages but I've never been able to make it. Frankly, I'd become a little sick of him parading around like he's the mayor of Qrankville. He needed to be taken down a peg or two! Not by me though, as you know I don't always beat Andy... Anyway, I assembled a clever group of friends, including our new Go To Gay, Gridr Josh, who also happens to be a trivia game host! How could we lose with that guy? I'm not sure if this is a well known fact or not, but I love a good cuddle. Cuddles, to me are like taffy. And there's always time for taffy. Anyway, cuddles seem to be the topic of some debate in our household and apparently, cuddling is seasonal. Confused? Me too. I'll try and explain. Jason will probably try and tell you that I hate hugs and touching people, and he's half right. I hate hugging and touching people I don't know. When it comes to my boyfriend, though, I want it all, all the time. I'm very tactile. My boyfriend is as well, but he has rules. They mainly pertain to cuddling when, in his opinion, it's too hot.  You ever just want to be lazy? You ever feel like sleeping all day? You ever look at that pile of washing and just turn and walk away? You ever just wanna get away?
